What are the benefits of RAINMASTER Favorit against a submersible pump?
-
The RAINMASTER Favorit rainwater system contains a built-in DVWG-approved supplemental water supply, in addition to the pump. This allows the system to continue to operate normally, on mains water top-up, even when there is a rainwater or greywater shortage in the tank. Alternately, mains water can be separately piped directly into the tank with a submersible pump, by means of a regulated “air gap". In most cases of installation, it is not safely possible to do this, as the “air gap" must be installed above the backflushing level (usually road height).
-
Why do I need a speed controller?
-
INTEWA offers RAINMASTER Favorit rainwater systems with or without speed control. The speed control increases the cost of the system but also offers great advantages for the user. Since usually the flow requirement is always less than a standard pump‘s output, speed controlled systems run significantly smoother. The RAINMASTER Favorit SC speed controller can save up to 40 % on power costs and dramatically increase the operational life of the system. RAINMASTER Favorit SC

Should an expansion tank be installed in the pressure line and how large must it be?
-
We generally recommend the installation of a small expansion tank, of about 24 liters, be used with the system. The expansion tank prevents pressure blow, increases the service life of system components and minimises frequent pump start-ups should leaks occur.
-
What if the intake length is more than 15 m and the intake height more than 2 m?
-
In cases like this INTEWA provides a seperate charging pump (accessory) for the RAINMASTER Favorit. Where a multiple pump installation is chosen, a seperate collection tank is also used. The water from the main tank is moved to the collection tank using a submersible pump (charging pump). From there, the RAINMASTER Favorit rainwater system pumps the rainwater or greywater where ever it is required within the building. RAINMASTER Favorit

Can the RAINMASTER Favorit also be used as backflow preventer?
-
Yes! As the RAINMASTER Favorit features a built-in “air gap“, approved as per EN1717, it fulfills the highest requirements regarding the backflow prevention and can even be used in clinics as backflow preventer for connection to the main water network.
-
Are RAINMASTER Favorit SC multiple pump systems more expensive than conventional systems?
-
No, RAINMASTER Favorit SC multiple pump systems are often cheaper than conventional multiple pump systems. This is made possible by economies of scale in production. And only the RAINMASTER Favorit SC rainwater system allows real redundancy and thus the highest possible operational reliability in commercial or industrial applications.
